FINANCIAL PLANNING SERVICES

Here's what we offer, and what you'll pay. Refreshingly direct, isn't it?

Services and Fees: Service
Comprehensive Financial Planning

Initial Comprehensive Financial Plan

By "comprehensive", we mean a plan that covers the following, as appropriate:

  • Long-term cash flow projections & Monte Carlo statistical analysis

    • How can you best get on track to live richly, rather than die poor -- or die rich?

    • What major changes in expenses and income do you need to anticipate?

  • Retirement transition planning

    • How can you maximize your chances for a smooth transition to retirement, optimizing investments, Social Security, Medicare, and (potentially) part-time income in order to avoid having to "un-retire" later?

  • Investment analysis

    • What are the optimal amounts, the optimal accounts, the optimal investments, and the optimal level of risk for your particular situation and each particular goal, such that we don't leave money on the table?
  • Cash flow management

    • How can you set up an easily-maintained system for making sure your money goes where you want it to?

  • Tax planning

    • What are the optimal tax strategies for your situation?

    • When should you defer or accelerate taxable income, based on your long-term plan?

  • Employee benefits optimization, including employer stock benefits

    • How can you optimize your employer benefits?

    • How can you avoid taking undue risk with your employer stock, and/or leaving tax money on the table?

  • Insurance, including health, life, disability, and long-term care

    • What is the optimal amount of insurance for you -- not too much, and not too little?

  • College Planning

    • How can you optimize your college plan such that it balances flexibility, tax-efficiency, and risk/reward?

  • Debt and credit management

    • How much should you pay upfront for large purchases, and how much should you finance?

    • Which debts should you accelerate payment of, and which should you pay off as slowly as possible?

    • How can you continually optimize your credit score so as to be eligible for the lowest interest rates?

  • Estate planning

    • How can you best ensure that the right assets go to the right personat the right time -- especially since you have exactly one shot at getting it right?

This is how it works:

Pricing is as follows:

  • Initial charge for individuals: $1710 at engagement, and $1710 at initial plan delivery

  • Initial charge for families: $2050 at engagement, and $2050 at initial plan delivery

I've designed my planning from the ground up to put money back in your pocket, but I know talk is cheap. That's why we have a full plan guaranteeif you're not happy with the value you get from the initial financial plan, you can walk and get every dime back.

Initial Retirement-Only Plan

If you're looking for something less comprehensive, we can focus on a subset of the above:

  • 6-month 30-minute followup meeting

    • What questions have come up during the execution of the plan?

The retirement planning flow is very similar to that of comprehensive financial planning:

Alternatively, you can engage in ongoing planning and investment management with Seaborn. Ongoing planning looks like this:
